Dragon boat festival

I am running out of my blogging steam. Which is funny because I'm in the Creative team for IEEC for photoblogging.
NO MOAR PLS.
Anyway, today I went to the Dragon Boat Festival on Treasure Island (Ay ay mateys). I wasn't originally going to go because my friends already went yesterday and I have an exam to prepare for on Tuesday but I went because my friend told me its only once a year and its a "pretty big thing"
There were lots of food trucks, which isn't a surprise because wherever there is good food- then expect me to be there.
I made friends with the IEEC people who were there and it was weird because we were all, in some way, Chinese.
Coincidence?! Never.
It looks hella taxing to be one of the rowers in the race, and in all honesty, watching dragon boat racing isnt real exciting. But it was still enjoyable since they were racing in front of a bridge (Not sure what the name of the bridge was)
Also, across the road was a little wharf and if you scanned your head from left to right, you could see the Bay Bridge, the city, and the Golden Gate all from the same spot.
Pretty neat.

Did I tell you that their boba here is all Americanised? The milk tea is more like smoothies and if you want authentic milk tea you have to ask for "thai tea"?
I crave Chatime because that is the best. So much better than the boba here.

There was a guy who was walking around in this weird suit thing and I went up and asked him what he was and asked for a photo and he seemed very happy that he was appreciated.

I'd throw my pie for you,
Emma

Ahhh! It takes so much effort. Hahaha boba/bubble tea/tapioca can Americans just decide on one and go with it? Chatime is sooo much better. For once our food is better than American food :D
I dont miss Chinese food... The takeaway here is really good... but I miss homecooked food :(
