So today we went all the way to Oakland for Oakland First Fridays, which is a street which they close off for "Galleries, Artists Collectives, Street Artists, Culinary Artisans, Local Artisans, Performers, Musicians, Dancers, Live Painters, DJs, Poets, and Literary Events".
We walked past a black bus with an empty canvas on each side and there was a man taking out buckets of paint (there were so many colours), and he told us that whoever wanted to paint on the canvas could, and was welcome to use the paints as much as they wanted. I thought it would be more chaotic than it turned out to be because he sprayed purple outlines for people to paint into, but it was still really enjoyable. The only rule was "no names, no initials." My friend painted the one in the second last photo, which she said was meant to represent Internationals. And the last photo is just a cool bird (The photo does it no justice)I wish Sydney had something like this back home? http://www.artismobilus.com/ArtIsMobilUs/Home.html

Other snifty things included an epic old man who blew big bubbles using ropes and two fishing rods,a LEGOJEEP (I wanted to play with it but there were too many kids around), and an Outer Body Experience Lab (Didnt try that because FIVE whole bucks!!! #CollegeKid)

Who wants postcards? As long as you don't get brainwashed by the #propaganda.

Also I got a free poster! Something to hang on the wall :DI need more deco for my room
