So... here are some photos from Halloween night. It was my first and last official Halloween night which made me very ambivalent towards the whole thing because the night was (to be very honest) shit.
I feel like Halloween is another Thanksgiving type thing, like in tv shows where something bad always happens on Thanksgiving when people are trying hard to make it perfect.
The night started at my friend Marcus' house and that was fun. We pregamed because later that night we would be heading to a club called The Grand for a massive international event called Heaven and Hell.
The pregame party wasnt huge but I had good company so I enjoyed myself. And getting to the Club took forever and that was an adventure in itself. Marcus was like a sheppherd and we were the sheep; he literally had to herd us all the way to the Bart station.
Also it was my first time seeing my friends' Frozone outfit and it was AMAZING.
I suggested he should go as Frozone a while back when we went costume shopping and it was like giving birth to a baby. (Ice ice baby? haahhaha i am so sorry)
I went as Alex again from Oitnb, it was a good costume to repeatedly wear because it gets bloody freezing at nighttime at SF. Also I really enjoy the tattoo sleeve, I wish I had the balls to get one but I really doubt that will happen anytime soon in the near future that is my life.
And I hadn't realised it till now but there were two wrestlers and two ladybugs and two Roman soldiers, which I figure must be more than coincidence. (Haaave you heard of the Halloween fairy?)
We got to the Club around 11ish, and joined this long ass line that extended probably half a km both ways into the clubs.
The line barely moved at all, but it was moving, so we decided to wait in line. We skipped past half of the line anyway because we met some friends in front. Everyone was just piled around the club, I think there must've been hundreds of people outside just waiting to get in.
So we were in line for around an hour and a half, and suddenly the coppas show up in their cop cars.
There's a loud barking dog in one of the cars, and the cops just flood out from nowhere and start yelling at people to get off the sidewalk. Reluctantly, we all squished together to the side in hopes of getting into the club sometime soon but in the next few moments, the cops were then telling the people in front that no one was allowed to go in.
So apparently they had closed down access to the club, even though we saw plenty of people getting out of it, and even though we had friends inside that we needed to get out.
They even blocked people from walking around the club so they blocked off half of the street... which made finding everyone and getting out of there even harder.
The rest of the night was hectic and it involved lots of confusion, anger, mad people wanting refunds, and drunk ass mofos trying to get to house parties or go home.
Anyway, so my friend drove us back to theirs and I walked home with a friend, and visited the guys across the hall. They were pretty turnt up by the time I got there.
I did see my friend in drag though and he rocked it and looked gorgeous. That made my night.
I'd throw my pie for you,
Emma
