Intestines (pronounced in-test-eye-ns)

Last night I had a catch up with mah girl fren Steph a knee and it was great.
Our dates are always great ;)
We ventured out for Korean BBQ and we found this all you can eat place called YakiniQ BBQ in Japantown for $19.99.
The food was good, lots of meat, as usual... but there were weird ass parts of animals that were included in the menu which I decided to order.
 Tripe and intestines.
Tripe is always served in pho but since Steph is UNCULTURED I got her to try it and she thought it was disgusting.
But then I ordered the intestines thinking it would be like this:

but in all actuality it turned out to be like this

DOES IT NOT FUCKING LOOK LIKE SHIT?

So I cooked it on the grill and it looked more edible than it looked in its raw form,
but it was
so
gross.
It felt rubbery but at the same time it had a layer of slime over it that just oozed off from it when I chewed.
Steph thought my face was so funny she literally teared from laughing and then thought it would be funny to catch my face in the process of gagging but failed

I'd throw my pie for you,

HOOTD

My choice of costume was super last minute but I just went with whatever I could find.
I found a DOC outfit so I was like why not go as the most awesome character in oitnb?
Why naaaaht

The start of Halloween pt ii - Round 1

After we went costume shopping, we headed to Japan town for Karaoke.
It was pretty much like K in Sydney but the rooms had no wireless mics, or nice cushioned sofas, and the sushi was hella expensive.
It was still really fun though, like sushi and singing- two of the best things in life.
And I think it was $85 for 12 people? For two hours?
Similar to ours I think.
I have some videos but I dont think you'd want to watch any of them.
I had to leave early from K cause I had a halloween party to go to after, and I brought along one of my friends to the party.
(I love Americans, theyre chill about parties)
So we got to the party, and I was pretty in-costume (can you guess who I went as), my friend just wore a dragon hat she bought at Daiso for one and a half bucks LOL
But idk, there was a cookie monster, a tardis, a universe, a mystery drag queen man, a minion, a hippie, an angel, a snow white, etc. I can't remember but yeah it was pretty coooool.
I think they were playing a horror movie from the 70s (?) but it was so quiet I couldn't hear anything.
Rage cage is a fun drinking game but its really easy.
Rule #1 of Rage Cage: Don't stand next to someone who has basic throwing skills and most importantly, is sober.
Then we went back to campus and there was the Halloween night dance party, which was absolutely shit. I have never seen so little people at a dance party before, but my friend enjoyed herself dancing so thats alright. Guys at school dance parties are the definition of sleaze. We bumped into my friend's coworkers and her roomies there so we brought them back up to my friend's place for an after party.
And he was asleep.
So I had to host a bunch of people in someone else's flat.
I basically have two homes now.
Can't wait for the Grand on actual Halloween night... Still need something to wear to that

I'd throw my pie for you,

(I dont have most of the photos, will upload when I get them)

The start of Halloween pt i - Round 1

So yesterday I went costume shopping for a party later that night.
Spirit store is a large popup store just for Halloween and its crazy how expensive things are there.
But everything is full out.
I mean, they have costumes, hats, masks, make up, tattoos, accessories, kids clothes, street deco, house deco, just anything that you would need when it comes to Halloween.
Anyway, so we had to walk all the way to the popup store near this mall in Serramonte,
and we were stuck on the side of the freeway (literally) so we decided to climb the fucking fence over,
or we'd have to walk around the whole thing, which would've taken us another half an hour.
(Shopping centres in America have really big car parks and the stores are sparse)
And we climbed the fence and I ripped a tiny hole in my Dr Denim jeans :(
These are my favourite jeans!
I haven't really gone shopping enough here.
Too much to do, too little time.

Also, on the way there, we stumbled across a Popeyes.
AND I FUCKING SPAZZED OUT CAUSE I LOVE POPEYES
They give you mac and cheese as a side (dafuq is this? heaven? ? ? ?? )
Their chicken is just bombbbbb. KFC is nothing compared to Popeyes.

Also there is a photo of G with his stupid Halloween costume-
just eyelashes.
He stole my Raybans and stuck on sparkly eyelashes (horribly) and called it a costume.
You're so beautiful G.
It takes a very secure-in-his-masculinity male to put on sparkly eyelashes.

I'd throw my pie for you,

HAUNTED MANSION

Today we visited a mansion 1019238 km away from our school.
I lie...It was only a few km away but it took us forever to get there (The fucking transport here man, its THA WURST!)
So the house was meant to close at 4, and we took approx 2 hours to get there, spot on at 4 and they just closed the doors on us.
So we knocked and said we'd travelled an hour away just to see the house and the kind old man let us in and even gave us a tour. (Moment of appreciation for cute kind old people)
It was a pretty creepy house.
Apparently one of the doors in the house was used in the film, The Conjuring.
I haven't seen that and I will probably never watch it.
Also there was a hugely racist Asian doll in the doll exhibit.
LOOK AT ITS EYES its literally just slits.
My friend just went around the house chatting up ALL the staff and she was all like "So... has there been any activity?" And one of the staff mocked her and said "No but you can bring a detector in to try to find some" Hahahahaha.
Too psyched on ghosts. Honestly though, what kind of old house doesn't have ghost myths?
#NeedsMoreMyths
Then we went exploring, and we went to Chinatown, shopped around and had dim sum
Then visited Union Square.
All in all, it was a chill end to the week.
Will post more photos once I get them off my friend :)

I'd throw my pie for you,
