"You are the cutest unicorn"
Posted on 01:56 by Emma

Sooo what what, what what?
I went back to haight-ashbury today to pop some tags, only had $20 in mah pocket.
Don't worry, there will be no posting of boring haul videos. (Who gives a shit about those unless there are freebies at the end?)
There was a weird store that sold "creepy little things" and we walked in and it literally just sold small-sized, creepy things (What was I expecting?) They were legit shiver-up-your-spine creepy things too like shrunken heads (like the one from Harry potter), old, faded clown dolls, small taxidermised animals, skeletons, animal eggs, and the sorts.
Also at the thrift store they were doing a promo where if you wore the unicorn hat for a photo you could get $5 off.
"You're the cutest unicorn"- the sales clerk to my friend.
Unicorns look cute in overalls.
How many fat men can you fit in the worlds largest tie dye shirt?
A lot.

Karma
Posted on 02:38 by Emma
Today I decided to skip my first class at 9:30, which I thought was way too early. So I was sleeping like the lazy ass I am and I hear this deafening high-pitched sound coming from the whole of the building, so I wake the f up and my roomies are like what do we do?
And we freaked out and panicked because normally, when a fire alarm gets set off it only comes from one of the rooms (whichever room trips it off- one time my roomie set it off by burning her bacon on the pan and I was in the shower and I just continued showering because the fire alarms had gone off so many times that week so I really question the effectiveness of the alarms in our building) but this time it came from everywhere and even the emergency fire doors were shut in between the halls.
So naturally we #legged it out of the building, legit sprinted from the top of the fourth floor downstairs.
They didn't fix the alarm for a good hour and a bit,
So I got to wear my pjs around campus...

Dragon boat festival
Posted on 19:47 by Emma
I am running out of my blogging steam. Which is funny because I'm in the Creative team for IEEC for photoblogging.
NO MOAR PLS.
Anyway, today I went to the Dragon Boat Festival on Treasure Island (Ay ay mateys). I wasn't originally going to go because my friends already went yesterday and I have an exam to prepare for on Tuesday but I went because my friend told me its only once a year and its a "pretty big thing"
There were lots of food trucks, which isn't a surprise because wherever there is good food- then expect me to be there.
I made friends with the IEEC people who were there and it was weird because we were all, in some way, Chinese.
Coincidence?! Never.
It looks hella taxing to be one of the rowers in the race, and in all honesty, watching dragon boat racing isnt real exciting. But it was still enjoyable since they were racing in front of a bridge (Not sure what the name of the bridge was)
Also, across the road was a little wharf and if you scanned your head from left to right, you could see the Bay Bridge, the city, and the Golden Gate all from the same spot.
Pretty neat.
Did I tell you that their boba here is all Americanised? The milk tea is more like smoothies and if you want authentic milk tea you have to ask for "thai tea"?
I crave Chatime because that is the best. So much better than the boba here.
There was a guy who was walking around in this weird suit thing and I went up and asked him what he was and asked for a photo and he seemed very happy that he was appreciated.

Kimmy's 20th!
Posted on 04:06 by Emma
... Weeeeeee like to drink with Kimmy, cause Kimmy is our mate, and when I drink with Kimmy, she drinks it down in 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!
(How you can tell how much a country loves their booze- by how many drinking chants they have. Seriously, its an accurate indicator)
It's my FUCKING birthday!
Profanities added for extra emphasis. Just in case you didn't know, just in case.
Rina was funny as tonight. Also Mako. Also that girl I didn't know slouched in front of the bathroom in the corner.
Gleggoly is real chill.

We seriously suck at organising things and being at the same place at the same time, but it always turns out really fun, and worth it.

The one with ALL THE SHIPS!
Posted on 17:18 by Emma
I SHOULD HAVE STARTED ALL MY BLOG POSTS WITH "The one with"
Regrets.
So many.
As many as the ships in this picture.
It's an OCEAN of black shirts. Hahahaha I'm punny.
(Are you all auditioning for a jazz club because fyi there isn't one on campus. Alex your pants arent tight enough, Ollie you'd pass)
It's alright. In a few decades, polyandry will be a thing.
Trust me, I'm dropping psych to be an evolutionary biologist minoring in sexuality studies.
Guuuurl, you got this! ;)

FREE BLANKETS
Posted on 00:57 by Emma
We went to check out movie nights on top of the Cesar Chavez building for the free SFSU blankets they were handing out.
But we went 3/4 of the way into the movie and everyone had already taken all of them.
#WellJel
Everyone had their hoodies and blankets all snug and shit and my friends were FREEZING in their tees and shorts.
You can't really see the fog but you can judge how foggy it was by the blurriness of the photos.
I had my MQU hoodie on so, yeah, well protected (SEE! IT CAME IN HANDY)
I really love this spot, its definitely my favourite spot on campus. It looks even prettier at night with all the lights on the steps :)

Meh, what a mediocre beach.
Posted on 16:43 by Emma
You have no idea how much I like the sun now.
I think I took Sydney's great weather for granted. It's always foggy and cloudy here (I like that too) but when the sun comes out, it's such a mood lifter.
It was really sunny on the weekend (I mean a solid 29 degrees), so we went to Baker Beach.
And psh what a terrifyingly shit beach it was.
Nothing as great as the ones we have back home.
Shitty Golden Gate bridge in the background, psh.
Get out.
I'd throw my pie for you,
