Also look at their pho

Their pho is thin here! And Kevin said we (Aussies) have been eating our pho wrong and this is the right type of pho. No way? Because I swear we have real Viets back home and no way have they been cooking pho wrong all this time.
The pho here is like vermicelli.

How do you college?

TODAY I STAYED HOME BECAUSE I THOUGHT I REALLY NEEDED TO GET MY CLOTHES WASHED.
SO I WAS ALL HAPPY AND CONTENT WITH MYSELF BEING ALL RESPONSIBLE AND INDEPENDENT
GOT ALL MY DIRTY CLOTHES DOWNSTAIRS, GOT THE WASHER FIGURED OUT

Then realised no one in the unit had detergent.
...
...
...
then I saw a dragon.

One on one maccas date with Steph

What we call Maccas
...Americans call Mickey d's
...And Brits call Macky d's
Also I haven't talked about how big the food portions are here. This is a small size drink for a small size meal at Maccas.
I lied actually because there's no small size at Maccas.
I put it up against my head to show you how big it is proportionally.
Dude I'm such a tourist, I take photos of everything everyday.

My life is made up of naps and coffee

Living on campus is GREAT. I love my classes so far (9am class not so much...) BUT I haven't been getting much sleep because you know, who even sleeps these days?
So this morning I was in my Developmental class and the professor spent literally half an hour marking the roll and sorting out class placements... And I was trying real hard not to fall asleep.
I did.
But it was ok cause I went home for a nap (I had two naps today)
Now I'm completely refreshed for my three hour class
WOOOooo
Oh also my classes have been amazing too. Everyone's really into it and the professors are really engaging (and engaged) Also the professors here are also hella more diverse, I had a young Asian lady professor who works are UCBerkeley and that was really interesting to see.

I'd throw my pie for you,

Anyway! Had a party on campus last night and it was hella fun (I'm American now, what of it. Bee arr bee, changing all my deets to something America related, and school deets to SFSU even though I've been here a week) That's ironic though because most of my friends right now are British and they all talk with amazing British accents/slang all the time so if anything, I'm more British than American. You know how I always went on about British accents before? I am SWIMMING in it here and loving it.
I personally really enjoyed the party because they played a lot of MY music. And if you know my music taste recently it has gone black. They played a lot of rap and other relateds and I enjoyed it.
Like Drake, A$AP, ya feel.
Probably because its a college dance party though so thats why? My friends complained that there wasn't enough Cheese (That's a thing from where they are, I think its short for cheesy music) which I thought was interesting because the clubs/bars at home dont play that much Cheese. I think the clubs/bars back home are much more indie.
BUT having said that I havent been to a LEGIT nightclub yet out in the city so I will tell you what I think of the music and people there when I do get the chance.
Also, you know how there are lots of sleazy guys who grind on you when you go out for the night? Here its way more intense.
I mean if you were here to see it...
A girl and a guy were going at it (I wont tell you how) and they grabbed both my friends arms and wouldnt let go; so I told her that she was now a part of their threesome.
Things are also much more strict than I thought they would be around campus. There are a lot more rules than I imagined. Two police cars roamed around the campus last night and our campus is tiny.
Tinie Tempah tiny.
Well, that's all I'll inform you as of now. Heaps of funny things happened last night and it was a great start to the semester.

:D

First class tomorrow!!
!!!!!
Im so excited!!!!!!!!!!

I'd throw my pie for you,
Emma

PS. Do you think my blogging is good enough to be a blogger in the Creative Team for the international group? Or should I do music in the Creative Team? Guitar/ukelele?

Welcome day!

You know how I sort of expected Welcome Day to be like the first few scenes of Pitch Perfect where Anna Kendrick walks around a busy campus with lots of stalls and crowds of overwhelming people?
It wasn't really like that. What it really was was just the occasional long queue for free food.
The whole day was basically just free food.
Free hot dogs
Free nachos
Free burgers
Free pasta
Free churros
Free waffles
Free fairy floss (British people call this candy floss and Americans call this cotton candy ha)
Free lemonade
Free Monster can
And yes, I do look disproportionately happy with that small amount of fairy floss I have in my hand.

FREE FOOD, you know me well enough to know I'm there for it.

Downtown

I'm surprised I'm still blogging because this is probably the most committed I've been to anything ever. So like yesterday? (All the days are just mixing together), we went downtown to meet my friend's buddy to have some Jap food. Sushi here is expensive. $13 for a beef bulgogi and rice, including tips and everything I ended up paying $20 for it.
SHIT HERES EXPENSIVE
When I came here 2 years ago things were way cheaper. Anyway, having jap food makes me think of home because we really do have great jap food.
What do I even blog about anymore?! I feel like my blog has become a word-version of food pictures on Instagram.

Also I find great enjoyment in watching people struggle using chopsticks
I'm a sadist.

The one thing I told myself not to do...

Is to get sick. Now guess who's sick already? Me.
Haven't been posting because I've been an antisocial recluse for the past three days which is a really big inconvenience because I either can't go to events, can't drink, or can't talk.
I think it'll take a while for me to get adjusted to SF weather. Also in the dorms it's always hot so it's always such a drastic change in temperature going in and out.
Welcome day is today and that means free food + club signups.

What should I sign up for?!?!
I have skills but I feel like none of them are good enough to join a club for ya feel

I'd throw my pie for you,

What do you mean the drinking age is 21?

I guess IEEC events have all been flunks so far this week. We couldn't get into Taco night at Nick's because there was such a long line queueing in. We also had to scurry to the place because we had to get there early just in case they were checking IDs again. I don't understand why so many events have been over 21 (I mean can't you have tacos at another place?). I think we waited for a solid 30 minutes before we all gave up and decided to eat somewhere else. These two guys led us to a cornerstore Chinese place which still had a pretty American feel to it.
I laughed because they gave us one of those typical American-Chinese take away boxes you see in TV shows and then fortune cookies after dinner like in Freaky Friday.

I'd throw my pie for you,
